A little frame repair! I used Plastic Wood stainable wood filler, 120 grit sandpaper, and a variety of stains and stain pens to make the repair. What’s your go to wood filler? Sawdust and wood glue?

After living with just the seat cushion for some time, my clients decided they’d like a back cushion as well. I worked with them to determine the exact height, depth, and density that would be the most comfortable and here we are!

Can’t even believe how charming this little chair turned out! Designed by my favorite florist @tussiemussiebouquetco_stp in fabrics by @charlottefabrics, this curvy chair got a full restoration and is ready for its next chapter! Lauren wanted to simplify the inside back for a cleaner more streamlined look, which I think really lets the shape of the frame take center stage.

This piece started with a red-hued lacquer finish that had seen some better days. My client @soldbysam.boatman had a vision for a dark stain, which we accomplished here using @minwaxusa semi transparent in Dark Walnut, with a clear semi gloss polyurethane (also minwax!) I love the depth of color the stain brings out in the wood here, really allowing the carved details to sparkle. Can’t wait to show you the finished piece!
